2014 Penn Charter commencement ceremony in photos [gallery]

William Penn Charter School held its commencement ceremony for the class of 2014 on its East Falls campus Saturday.

Head of School Darryl J. Ford gave the commencement address He told graduates, “You have done good and shown kindness as you have created a community of care for one another.”

Among 109 graduates, Leigh Steinberg won the Phi Beta Kappa Award, which is presented to “the student outstanding in scholarship.” Colin McCloskey won the Penn Charter Alumni Award, which is presented to an “exemplary member of the class.”

The commencement speakers, chosen by faculty and senior class, were McCloskey and Stephanie Soroka.
