2 Officers injured in South Phila. overnight accident

    Two police officers were injured overnight in South Philadelphia after being struck by another vehicle, sending their car into a utility poll.

     

    According to WPVI-TV, the accident happened around 2:00 a.m. along Broad Street at Pattison Avenue.

    WPVI-TV reports the two officers were riding in an unmarked police car when they were struck by another car.  The impact then caused them to lose control, sending the car into the utility poll.

    One officer was treated for injuries at the scene, while another was taken to Jefferson University Hospital for a broken leg.

    The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, according to WPVI-TV.
