The three were arrested on the roof of a university building near Tahrir Square last week after Egyptian officials accused them of throwing firebombs during a protest.

According to the AP, Gregory Porter, 19, left Egypt early this morning along with 21-year-old Luke Gates. Porter, of Glenside, Pennsylvania, is a student at Drexel University.

The AP says an Egyptian court ordered the release of the three American University students on Thursday.
