15th District officers look for suspects of two different robberies

Police in the 15th District are looking for suspects and more information surrounding two recent incidents.

The first happened June 14 in Wissinoming when a man armed with a knife robbed Lisa & Charlie’s Market at 6017 Torresdale Ave. Authorities are looking for a white male in his 30s, about 5’11”. He was seen in surveillance video wearing a blue T-shirt and three-quarter length blue jeans. He fled on a black bike.

Officers are also looking for an intruder who assaulted a man outside his Mayfair home Tuesday. Jim Grimes says he was punched in the face as he entered his home of the 2900-block of Gilham Street, and the thief took $600. Police believe the thief may have followed Grimes and his 91-year-old mother home from the grocery store.
