Tuesday, September 13, a SEPTA bus driver said someone shot out his front windshield while he was driving near the 7600 block Ogontz Ave.. The bullet didn’t strike the complainant, but the shattered windshield cut his face. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

September 7, 2011

1500 block Wadsworth Ave. – Complainant said a man carjacked him at gunpoint. The offender drove off in the complainant’s 2007 Jeep Cherokee.

1000 block E. Johnson St. – car stereo and sneakers stolen from a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis.

500 block Locust Ave. – a man was murdered. Police responded to a shooting and found the complainant suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead at 10:31 p.m. Complainant was shot five times in the chest and head.

3000 block W. Cheltenham Ave. – complainant said someone stole her Galaxy cell phone from her purse.

72nd Ave. / Ogontz Ave. – complainant said a known offender punched him in the left side of his face and took $40 from his left pocket. Complainant later identified the offender while police were surveying the area. Offender was arrested.

Ogontz Ave. / E. Washington Lane – complainant said he was getting into his car when an offender pushed him and stole items from his pockets. Offender ran off with a wallet, SS card, license, insurance cards, debit cards and a work I.D.

6800 block Ogontz Ave. – tools and a Cannon mountain bike were stolen from the property between 5 p.m. Sept. 5 and 5 p.m. Sept. 6.

800 block E. Chelten Ave. – tools and a six-foot ladder were stolen from the property.

 

September 8, 2011

Cheltenham Ave. / Walnut Lane – 1997 Honda Civic was stolen.

7300 block Thouron Ave. – complainant said he was shot twice in the left leg. Complainant said he was pushing his car at the location when he heard several gunshots and a saw a green car flee in an unknown direction. Complainant was taken to the hospital and listed in stable condition.

5800 block Crittenden St. – laptop stolen from the property.

Germantown Ave. / W. Tulpehocken St. – complainant said a man stabbed him in the left shoulder while he was trying to rob the complainant.

Unit block E. Rittenhouse St. – 9mm handgun with 15 rounds was stolen from the property.

300 block W. Durham St. – HP notebook computer stolen from the property between 11:40 a.m. and 9 p.m. Sept. 8.

Sherman St. / W. Pomona St. – complainant said two men robbed him on the street. Complainant said one of the offenders took $20 from his pocket. The other punched him in his right eye.

1300 block Roumfort Road – police responded to a shooting call and found the complainant with a gunshot to the back of the head. Complainant was taken to the hospital where he was listed in extremely critical condition.

200 block E. Willow Grove Ave. – laptop, laptop bag and a blood pressure monitor stolen from a 2006 Honda Accord. Complainant said the car was unlocked at the time.

E. Mt. Airy Ave. / Boyer St. – complainant said a man stole his iPhone 4. Complainant said he lent the offender the phone. The offender then pulled out a knife and refused to return it.

2000 block Eastburn Ave. – complainant said he was robbed at gunpoint. He said he had just made a delivery at the location when the offender approached him. Offender ran off with $70.

Unit block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said someone stole her bike from the location.

300 block W. Durham St. – 10 gold rings and an Apple laptop were stolen from the property between 4 p.m. Sept. 4 and 5 p.m. Sept. 7.

Germantown Ave. / E. Chelten Ave. – 2003 Mercury Marauder was stolen.

 

September 10, 2011

6200 block Crittenden St. – complainant said her boyfriend punched and choked her during a dispute.

6400 block Milton St. – 42″ bird bath stolen from the property between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 9 and 12 p.m. Sept. 10.

7200 block Limekiln Pike – flat screen TV, jewelry, X-box, Playstation and a cell phone were stolen from the property.

Baynton St. / E. Duval St. – complainant said a man robbed him at gunpoint. Offender ran off with complainant’s cell phone and $15.

5600 block Chew Ave. – complainant said two men robbed him at gunpoint. Offenders ran off with $60 in cash.

100 block E. Tulpehocken St. – complainant said a known offender pushed him through a glass table during a dispute. Complainant was taken to the hospital. Offender was arrested.

5700 block Germantown Ave. – 2008 Chevy Impala stolen.

 

September 11, 2011

7500 block Woolston Ave. – complainant said her nephew stole her monthly social security check worth $615.

200 block E. Sharpnack St. – $200 and a book of CDs were stolen from a 2005 Buick Lacrosse between 5-8 a.m. Sept. 11.

6300 block Chew Ave. – $250, PA driver’s license and a TD Bank debit card stolen from a car.

300 block E. Upsal St. – Tom-Tom GPS, two pairs of glasses, wallet, various IDs, store cards and $19 were stolen from a 2005 Buick Lacrosse.

100 block W. Allens Lane – 46″ Sony flat screen, Sony Blu-Ray player and an RCA receiver stolen from the property.

900 block Sydney St. – Compaq laptop and a 32″ flat screen TV stolen from the property. There were no signs of a forced entry.

600 block E. Durham St. – 36″ LG flat screen TV and a Panasonic laptop were stolen from the property between 8 p.m. Sept. 9 and 8:30 p.m. Sept. 10.

 

September 12, 2011

300 block E. Vernon Road – complainant said a man raped her. She said she was waiting for the R7 train when the offender said he needed help. Complaint said the offender knocked her unconscious with an unknown object after she leaned into the man’s car window. She said the man was on top of her when she awoke. Complainant went to the hospital and was taken to the Special Victims Unit.

7900 block Fayette St. – complainant said a man fired one shot into the passenger side window of his car while complainant was sitting in the vehicle. Complainant said the man had walked up to the car and tried to open the door.

1300 block E. Johnson St. – Playstation 3 system and a video game stolen from the property.

1100 block Livezey Lane – purse, ID, credit cards, checkbook, sunglasses, watch, house keys and $400 were stolen from a 2002 Honda Civic. Complainant said she parked the car at the location between 10:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 11.

100 block W. Walnut Lane – vacuum cleaner sweeper stolen from the property.

8600 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said someone stole his cell phone from TD Bank. He said he left the item on a table inside the bank. The item was gone when he returned.

1500 block Wadsworth Ave. – $1,000 stolen from Philly Soft Pretzel Factory.

 

September 13, 2011

7600 block Ogontz Ave. – complainant said he was shot while at the location. Offender fled in an unknown direction. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

7600 block Ogontz Ave. – a SEPTA bus driver said someone shot out his front windshield while he was driving. The bullet didn’t strike the complainant, but the shattered windshield cut his face. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

1900 block Sterling St. – 73″ Toshiba flat screen TV, Compaq laptop, two DVD players, converter box and a front door key were stolen from the property.

700 block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said a known offender stole $400 in cash, a social security card and a Health Partners card from her property. There were no signs of a forced entry.

300 block E. Queen Lane – complainant said four men tried to mug him at the location. He said someone hit him in the head with an unknown object after telling him to “empty his pockets”. Offenders fled without taking anything from the complainant. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

500 block E. Tulpehocken St. – 2000 Honda motorcycle was set on fire. The incident was later deemed arson Sept. 13.

6900 block Germantown Ave. – computers and electronic equipment stolen from New Courtland. Complainant said a former employee was caught on video taking the items.

Wayne Ave. / W. Chelten Ave. – 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis was stolen. Complainant said someone pulled out a knife and told him to get out of the car. The offender then drove off in the stolen car.

100 block W. Penn St. – complainant said someone stole two Trek bikes from her property. She said they were not locked up at the time.

600 block Westview Ave. – Complainant said he was robbed at gunpoint. Laptop, Blackberry cell phone, wallet, $30 and various credit cards were stolen.

200 block E. Mount Airy Ave. – 1992 Buick Century stolen.
