1 dead, 1 injured, 1 missing in Fairmount Park

    Philadelphia police officers responded to a call of gunfire last night that led them on a chase through Fairmount Park.

    According to ABC6, shots rang out near 53rd and Parkside around 3 a.m. this morning. Officers arrived to find a vehicle fleeing the scene. A chase through Fairmount Park and onto Belmont Mansion Drive ensued. The fleeing vehicle lost control, rolled down an embankment and trapped a male passenger who was later pronounced dead on the scene.

    Two males fled the scene. One was found in the park suffering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. He was taken to the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in serious condition.

    The third man is still at large.
