    GUEST: KENNETH GOLDSMITH

University of Pennsylvania writing teacher and MoMa Poet Laureate KENNETH GOLDSMITH, comes in to discuss transcribing and collaging radio and TV coverage of high-profile American tragedies including the assassinations of John and Robert Kennedy, John Lennon’s murder, the shootings at Columbine and the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. Goldsmith finds the act of transcription as an ‘idiosyncratic and personal endeavor,” and has collected his transcriptions into the new book, “Seven American Deaths and Disasters.”
