NPR's Morning Edition takes listeners around the country and the world with two hours of multi-faceted stories and commentaries that inform, challenge and occasionally amuse. Morning Edition is the most listened-to news radio program in the country.
Jeanette Woods has been reporting and producing radio features and segments for NewsWorks Tonight since joining the staff in May 2011.
She has worked nationally and internationally as a content and image researcher, writer, reporter and producer for public television, public radio and online media.
Her career includes production at WGBH, WAMU, National Geographic, Blackside, Inc., Discovery Communications and interactive media design for The National Science Teachers Association.
Jeanette also trains and mentors aspiring community based story-tellers from under-represented "media minorities", working with them to get their work on the airwaves and the Web.
Her credo comes from pioneering radio producer David Isay, founder of StoryCorps, "Radio is great. Don't talk about it, don't analyze it - just do it."
