David Woods is a Philadelphia-based essayist and editor. A former editor-in-chief of the Canadian Medical Association Journal, he is the author of four books and more than 100 articles, editorials, and reviews. He holds a Ph.D. in health policy and is a fellow of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia.
