Fire Fight

Nobody will argue that state and local governments should continue looking for ways to be more efficient and still provide the same services for residents. First Look reports on the services versus savings argument and why the fire department is first on the list.

The Pulse: What do you do?

WHYY FM has a new home for health science and technology news. It’s called The Pulse. We asked host Maiken Scott to put together one of those segments for First.

Content Delaware

Here’s another story from the University of Delaware. It centers on the Career Life Studies Certificate Program. It is offered to students with intellectual disabilities. Our video partner Content Delaware gives us this view.

First Person

We continue our education theme with First Person. It’s a look back with the 2014 Teacher of The Year, Lea Wainwright. She is a french teacher at Appoquinimink High School in Middletown. See if you can tell what makes her worthy of the Best Teacher Award, the bond she shares with her students.

First Experience: Twin Lakes Brewing

Tucked away among the rolling hills and gated houses along Kennett Pike in Greenville is the Twin Lakes Brewery. There’s a little flag that marks the entrance, but inside the master brewers have big plans. First Experience provides a video taste test of the beer, art, and how a major historical event provided the inspiration.
