Alternative fuel cars and a driverless future

Listen 00:48:43

Guests: John Voelcker and Alex Davies

Hydrogen fuel-cell cars are finally making their debut. Toyota, Honda and Hyundai all have new hydrogen models coming out but with so few hydrogen fueling stations around, most of them in California, don’t expect to see too many hydrogen vehicles on the roads for a while. So will hydrogen cars beat out electric? And how green are they? Marty gets an update on alternative-fuel cars from JOHN VOELCKER, editor in chief of Green Care Reports. Then, self-driving cars are becoming a reality. ALEX DAVIES, associate editor at WIRED, rode 500 miles in an autonomous car. We’ll hear about his trip and find out how close we are to a driverless future.
