    Happy Independence Day! For this 4th of July special, get to know Philadelphia’s favorite founding father, Ben Franklin, with the man himself and Chef Walter Staib, who will be sharing some of Franklin’s favorite dishes.

    After serving their country, veterans are finding a new way to serve–this time in the classroom. Meet Al Jackson, a science teacher at Wilbur Watts Intermediate School. He’s part of Troops to Teachers, a program that helps service members transition out of the military and into new careers they can also be proud of, as K-12 teachers.

    Becoming a U.S. citizen can be a long and arduous journey. Witness a naturalization ceremony and meet some of Philadelphia’s newest Americans.

    Photographer Celeste Giuliano has been enamored by retro portraiture ever since seeing her grandfather’s pin-up collection. Now, she turns everyday women into retro models like Rosie the Riveter.
