Yuengling now America’s biggest brewery — not just oldest

It seems Pennsylvanians owe their latest bragging rights to Ohio. D.G. Yuengling and Son, long touted as America’s oldest brewery, has just recently also become the largest beer-maker in America, according to The Morning Call of Allentown.

Since the Pottsville company started selling to the Ohio market last fall, sales have surged. Even though Yuengling is sold in only 14 states, it now surpasses rival Boston Beer, owner of the Sam Adams brewery, in size.

The biggest used to be Anheuser-Buschm who makes Budweiser, but they got bought out by a Belgian company a few years ago, so they no longer count.
