Writer takes a stand against bagging groceries

Bagging your own groceries is the fast lane to performing your own surgery. Probably a bit of a stretch, but an interesting argument nonetheless. What other things are we doing that used to be customer service perks?

Metropolis contributor Roz Warren will not bag groceries in the supermarket checkout line. Not under any condition. The argument being it’s no different than pumping gas. Someone’s being paid to bag your groceries (and is likely better at it than you are), so why do it yourself?
