Would Corbett call the president back?

Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett’s team has a well-earned reputation for not calling reporters back. It began during his campaign for the office and continued into the early months of the administration.

WHYY’s Susan Phillips reports that even the head of the Environmental Protection Agency got stiffed by the guv. Susan tracked down EPA administrator Lisa Jackson at a Philadelphia event today to ask about reports that Corbett’s Secretary for the Department of Environmental Protection Michael Krancer is insisting that he personally approve any citations on natural gas drillers in the state’s Marcellus Shale region.

“I did reach out to the governor,” Jackson said. “I never did hear from him.”

Susan has called the governor’s office for comment. We’ll let you know if she hears back.
