Woman sues N.J. little league player for baseball injury

In 2010, Elizabeth Lloyd was struck in the face with a baseball, requiring her to have reconstructive surgery and leaving her with a lasting headache condition.

Lloyd is suing the ball’s thrower, little league player Matthew Migliaccio.

Migliaccio was 11 when he overthrew a fastball during a bullpen session in Manchester, N.J., and hit Lloyd as she sat at a nearby picnic table.

The Asbury Park Press reports Lloyd wants $153,000 to cover her medical costs.

Migliaccio continues to play baseball, but his parents have stepped away from their league coaching and snack stand duties.
