WILMAPCO looking for community involvement in transportation improvements

    Interested in an updated transportation plan for the Newark area?

     The Wilmington Area Planning Council and the City of Newark will be holding a public meeting on May 24 to discuss just that, according to a release from WILMAPCO.

     At the meeting WILMAPCO and the City of Newark will be presenting a draft report and recommendations, which will be followed by discussion. They are looking for recommendations for improvements to roads and intersections, facilities for walking and bicycling, public transit and parking.

     WILMAPCO will develop short-term improvements and long-term transportation strategies based on the community’s priorities, economic developments opportunities and land use impacts, according to the release.
