Will Smith in town filming, will attend Friday’s Sixers game

Will Smith makes his way back to Philly often enough, but he’s in town for a couple different reasons these days.

The Overbrook native is shooting the new M. Night Shyamalan movie with his son, but he’ll let the Sixers do all the shooting Friday. Smith, part owner of the team, will attend Friday’s 7 p.m. game against the Charlotte Bobcats.

A bit of star power couldn’t hurt the Sixers, who happen to be playing well under the new owners and without that strange rabbit mascot lurking courtside.

Place your bets: How long will it take fans to start singing the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” song at the game?
