WHYY transmitter work will temporarily affect radio broadcasts
Have a little trouble finding 90.9 FM on your dial this weekend?
Due to some required maintenance on our Philadelphia tower, transmitters were down this weekend. We’ve got people climbing the tower to do the work, and to keep them safe, the transmitter must be off.
We expect at least another day of maintenance some time this weekend, but weather and other changing conditions make it difficult to predict exactly when that might be. We’ll keep you posted with as much information as possible, but know that Internet streaming is available even when your radio dial gets a bit fuzzy, so you won’t have to miss your favorite programs.
