Who are the best youth-sports coaches in Northwest Philadelphia?
Last holiday season, NewsWorks asked readers in Northwest Philadelphia to nominate their favorite school crossing guards for a series of profiles introducing those neighborhood mainstays to the entire community.
In keeping with the spirit of that series, we are again seeking nominations.
This year, we want to hear all about the best youth-sports coaches in Chestnut Hill, East Falls, Germantown, Manayunk, Mt. Airy, Roxborough and West Oak Lane.
Anyone from youth tee ball, cheerleading, gymnastics and karate to high-school football, basketball and girls soccer is eligible. Translation: If he/she leads Northwest Philadelphia youths in any athletic endeavor, and makes a lasting impact on young lives, we’d love to hear about them.
