Wheelchair-bound man’s apartment invaded in Upper Darby

Two men invaded the apartment of a wheelchair-bound Upper Darby man Monday, pulled him out of his chair and proceeded to make off with his TV, video game sets and other valuables.

Police are calling it a “heinous” attack and have released video, available at the Delaware County Times web site.

Police say the victim was expecting another visitor early Monday and had turned on his video recorder as a precaution. The video shows the man rolling to answer the door. His motorized chair goes out of view for a moment. Then a man appears, dragging the victim across the floor. The man dropped the victim unto the floor and then placed a booted foot on his midsection as the other man disconnected the TV.
