What kind of job is the Transportation Security Administration doing?

During the summer vacation season, many Americans opt to travel by plane.

The Transportation Security Administration is charged with protecting the nation’s transportation systems. While some find the TSA to be an inconvenience when traveling, Frank Newport, editor in chief of the Gallup Poll, says most Americans say they have an excellent or good opinion of the job the TSA is doing.

Newport breaks down how Americans feel about the TSA when they travel with NewsWorks Tonight host Dave Heller in this week’s “What Are We Thinking” segment.

Newport and Heller also discuss how Americans feel about coverage of the 2012 Olympics.
