NASA’s Endeavour launch delayed for technical problems

Update: The launch of the Endeavour has been delayed until at least Sunday after NASA officials discovered technical problems with the shuttle.

Reuters reports two failed heaters will prevent the launch. Jackson says he and others will still be live-tweeting the launch, “as long as nothing crazy happens!”

Original report: The royal wedding is over. Moving on. Today is also the day NASA will launch its Endeavour into space, provided the weather cooperates. As of 9:30 this morning, NASA reported a 70 percent chance of favorable weather.

And just like locals donned dresses for the royal wedding viewing party, there’s a local connection to the shuttle launch, too.
