It’s official. The Christmas Village sign at City Hall is illuminated once again.

Reporter Tom MacDonald had a full day of reporting at City Hall, but was able to snap a pic of the once-again merry sign and take video of the tree, which was lit a little after 6 p.m. to the cheers of a chilly crowd gathered to see the festivities. During the tussle over the sign that took place over the past few days, the festive tree was referred to as a “holiday” tree, but Mayor Michael Nutter cut straight to the holly-jolly and called it a “Christmas” tree during the lighting.
