‘Weight of the Nation’ town hall meeting

Delaware State University hosts the second of three “Weight of the Nation” Town Hall Meetings, which focuses on the problem of obesity.

Ranked the heaviest county in the state, Kent County residents are invited to attend the town hall-style meeting from 3:30-5 p.m. inside the Bank of America auditorium on DSU’s campus. The event is free and open to the public.

There will be a panel discussion with local experts and portions of the documentary, “The Weight of the Nation,” will be shown.

Studies show the obesity epidemic has become one of the most serious public health and public policy problems facing the U.S.

DSU is sponsoring these meetings with Delaware’s Division of Public Health and DE-HEAL (Delaware Coalition for Healthy Eating and Active Living).
