Weekend forecast includes snow in some parts of the region

Some costumes you might want to consider for your weekend Halloween parties: abominable snowman, elf, Santa.

Saturday will be a cold one, with temps not even breaking 50, and we’ve got another little thing coming: snow.

“Snowfall accumulations will be heaviest across the Poconos and the higher elevations of North Jersey, where rain will change to snow much more quickly, with accumulating snow likely down into the higher hills of the city,” according to PhillyWeather.net.
Northwest Philly, look out. Snowfall could even reach the airport or southern N.J. suburbs.

What should we expect in terms of interest? UP to 8 inches in the Poconos, 1 to 3 inches in the north and west suburbs and as much as an inche around the south and east parts of the city. It’ll all be over by Saturday night, and then we just have the entire winter to get through.
