Verizon workers could return to work by Tuesday

    Employees of Verizon Communications, Inc. who went on strike earlier this month could return to work by Tuesday.

    According to Philly.com, the company and union leaders are set to announce today the 45,000 operators, customer service agents and sales consultants will return to work on Tuesday.

    The workers walked out on August 7, but have always said they would return to work if the company were willing to bargain more productively, according to Philly.com.

    Philly.com reports the striking employees will work under the terms of their last contract.
