Upper Moreland School Board looks into in-bus advertising

The Upper Moreland School board is considering selling advertising inside school buses.

Sound familiar? Just yesterday, NewsWorks’ Kevin McCorry reported on the same concept being developed in the Lehigh Valley’s Parkland School District.
Parkland already has guidelines for what types of ads will be allowed and will use a 10-member panel to approve all ads that come through.

Upper Moreland isn’t that far into the process, but the ads would be just one potential revenue-generator. Also on the table is the idea of charging to posts local businesses’ banners in the high school gym.
