Unsettled today, but beautiful for the remainder of the week

With a cold front moving through the area, drier air is on the way, but we’re going to have to wait until later today.

There’s a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm through the afternoon hours. High pressure will build in later, and with a northwest breeze, it will be cooler and more comfortable. Highs in the low to mid 80s (closer to 80 at the beaches). Clear tonight. Lows around 60.

A spectacular stretch of weather begins tomorrow. Mostly sunny straight through the weekend. Low humidity! Temperatures will range from the mid to upper 70s at the coast, upper 70s to low 80s inland, with the coolest readings Friday through the weekend with a Canadian high pressure system arriving.

BOAT/BEACH: Once thing is certain: the beaches are much less crowded, as you can see in this TheSurfersView.com image from moments ago in Ocean City. If you prefer bright beach days, that’s not the case now, but the afternoon should be nicer. The ocean temperature is around 70, the breakers and swells are running about two to three feet, and there is a low chance of rip currents. Keep in mind that lifeguards are now off-duty at most beaches.
