Two Atlantic City Pier Shops close for good

Monday brought an abrupt end to Game On! and Trinity Irish Pub & Carvery. The two restaurants at the Piers Shops at Caesars in Atlantic City closed yesterday, with little notice to employees and customers.

The Press of Atlantic City reports customers were caught by surprise yesterday when they showed up to eat and found the doors locked. Both are owned by Boston-based Lyons Group, which closed another Pier Shops restaurant last year.

The Piers is also in some trouble. After being foreclosed on earlier this year, an auction date could be scheduled as early as this week.
