TV doctor brings 15-minute physicals to Philly

How much can you learn about your health in 15 minutes?

Cholesterol and blood glucose levels, blood pressure and waist size measurement – if your physician is the kind of doctor who gets right down to business instead of letting you linger in the waiting room.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, host and namesake of his own daytime TV medical show, will be on the Temple University health sciences campus next week to give 15-minute physicals, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.

He’ll examine about 1,000 people for major disease indicators and Temple University Health System staffers will advise patients about how to proceed once they have the results.

Oz should be an expert at the 15-minute physical. He covers a handful of cases in every 60-minute episode of his show.
