Trenton voters to elect a new mayor
Trenton voters are choosing who their next mayor will be. There are six candidates running: Bucky Leggett, Eric Jackson Jim Golden Kathy McBride, and Paul Perez, and Walker Worthy. The winner of this election will take office July 1.
The city’s acting mayor, George Muschal, is not seeking a full term. Muschal took over in February after Mayor Tony Mack was removed from office following his conviction on six counts of bribery and extortion. Mack is scheduled to be sentenced tomorrow.
Mayoral races are also being decided today in Newark. Paterson, Bayonne, Long Branch and Ocean City.Polls close at 8 p.m.
