Trenton mayor uses city website to call out council members for criticizing him
“Mayor Tony F. Mack wants Trentonians to know that he remains fully focused on moving the City of Trenton forward despite the constant efforts of a rogue coalition of City Council members.”
That’s not an excerpt from Mack’s blog, but a press release he wrote and posted to the city’s website. It’s one of three posted to the site that now have people questioning whether he’s properly using trentonnj.org.
The Times of Trenton reports Council President Phyllis Holly-Ward wants the releases removed, but Mack won’t budge. One release, titled “Hypocrisy & Double-Standards,” goes after Holly-Ward for supporting a measure to reduce the mayor’s salary but accepting her own pay increase.
Has Mack gone too far, or is he just using a tool as his disposal to set the record straight on what’s gone between him and City Council?
