Tree and fence damage spotted in Mt. Airy & Chestnut Hill

Power outages are still occurring through the Philadelphia region. The high winds downed trees, fences, and tossed debris into the streets in Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill. Most of the winds remain in the 20-30 mph range with occasional gusts over 40 mph reported.

Power was out at the Sedgwick Theater for tonight’s performance of Don Juan but six back-up generators allowed the show to be performed.

Photographer Mark Register took these pictures this afternoon and captured the minor damage he saw around the neighborhood. The damage during his outing appeared to be broken tree branches and toppled sections of fences. If you have a wind damage photo you would like to share please email it to me at atu@whyy.org
