Travel + Leisure: Philadelphia has nation’s 3rd-worst airport

Find yourself rolling your eyes and sighing a lot at the Philadelphia International Airport?

You might be on to something. According Travel + Leisure, the magazine that loves to rate (and sometimes hate), PHL is the country’s third-worse airport.
The mag advises readers to steer clear of PHL and Los Angeles airport, which are “hobbled by outdated infrastructure, overcrowding, chronic delays, and demoralized staff.”

Airports were judged on seven factors: flight delays, design, amenities, food and drink, check-in and security, service, and transportation and location.

New York’s La Guardia is the worst airport of them all, but Philly’s nasty staff and lack of cleanliness landed it a high spot. Down at the bottom of the list is Phoenix at No. 11.
