Our tranquil stretch of early autumn weather continues: cool mornings, warm afternoons, and no rain.

There are currently no watches, warnings, or advisories listed on the National Weather Service-Mount Holly map.

High pressure remains in control over our area today, continuing through the weekend. Sun and perhaps some passing happy little clouds for days. High temperatures will generally be around 70 at the coast and low to mid 70s inland. Lows will drop down to the mid to upper 40s in the mountains, around 50 inland, and mid to upper 50s at the coast.

BOAT/BEACH: You guessed it: it’s a great week if you’re on vacation. How relaxing does this scene moments ago in Beach Haven look? Expect a light northeast wind today, delivering cooler conditions on the beach, so bring a sweatshirt just in case. Breakers and swells are around two feet, the ocean temperature is in the upper 60s, and there is a low risk of rip currents (with lifeguards off-duty at most beaches, exercise extreme caution in the water). There may be some clouds and gusty winds at the beaches late Sunday into Monday as a coastal storm at sea passes by, but the more likely scenario is increasingly rough seas this weekend.
