Toomey to reveal his 2012 budget proposal

    U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.) will unveil his proposal for the 2012 federal budget Tuesday. Toomey and fellow Republican Sens.Jim DeMint of South Carolina, Marco Rubio of Florida and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin will share their plan Washington, D.C., around 12:30 p.m.

    The proposal balances the budget in nine years and, according to a statement from Toomey’s office, will “put the federal government on a sustainable fiscal path.”
