Toomey and Sestak “neck and neck”
The latest out of the Sestak and Toomey campaigns in the hard-fought Pennsylvania US Senate contest.
It’s a race that’s seen $25 million in outside spending, most of it for slash and burn TV ads. At a rally in Bristol yesterday, Republican Pat Toomey stayed on message, calling Democrat Joe Sestak the extremist in the contest.
“Honestly, I didn’t know there was any space there but he has found a way to the left of Nancy Pelosi. He has done it, but the good news is I’m pretty sure that Pennsylvania is not going to elect a San Francisco liberal to the United States Senate.”
But the race at this point is more about turnout than persuasion, and Sestak tried to inspire his volunteers at a Doylestown parking lot.
“We know where we are, where we always are in our races – neck and neck! And darn it, we’re going to give it our all. Can I say thank you Bucks County… can I count on you for us?”
Polls open at seven on Tuesday.
