The Toms River Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in identifying a woman authorities say allegedly stole keys from a gym to enter a car in the property’s parking lot.

Surveillance video captured images of the woman, pictured above, who entered Toms River Fitness on Route 37 at 6 p.m. on Oct. 26, asked to use the restroom, and then left the premises, said Ralph Stocco, Toms River Police Department spokesman.

A gym member then realized that her keys were missing from a storage hook as she prepared to leave the facility, according to Stocco.

“[The suspect] is believed to have removed car keys from inside of the facility and used them to illegally enter a car in the parking lot,” Stocco said. “The keys were found in the parking lot, and when she entered her car, she realized that cash was stolen from inside of her previously locked 2011 Jeep.”
