TLC Star ‘Cake Boss’ visits Pa. high school

It’s not often you get the chance to see a TV celebrity chef at a local high school and some might say it’s rare to get the chance to actually bake with him.

About a thousand people last night got that chance, as TLC’s Cake Boss hit the stage at Pope John Paul II High School as part of his “Bakin’ with the Boss Tour.”

The Mercury reports fans of Buddy Valastro got to see the “Cake Boss” in a whole new light.

The famous baker told fans about his career and shared stories of his family and his past.

The Mercury reports there was only one point where cheers turned to jeers, when Valastro admitted he was a New York Giants fan to a crowd that appeared to be made up of primarily Philadelphia Eagles fans.
