Suspected Mayfair tire vandal caught on video

The Philadelphia Police Department is asking for help in identifying a man suspected in the rash of ongoing car vandalism in Northeast Philadelphia. Video surveillance footage was released and shows the suspect slashing the right rear tire of a car near Cottman and Rowland Avenue.

Police have not made any arrests, but are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual. The Fraternal Order of Police has offered $5,000 for information leading to the arrest the people responsible for the vandalism, and the Office of the Mayor offered a $2,500 reward for their arrest and conviction.

According to The Philadelphia Police Department, the video shows a white male in his late teens to early 20s with short hair. In the video footage taken on Thursday, the suspect was wearing a blue shirt, a dark hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and white sneakers. Police say that, based on the surveillance footage, he is likely left-handed.
