Three years ago today, Philadelphia’s children could not have cared less about Halloween. Because they were going to, watching or thinking about the Phillies’ 2008 World Series parade.
Yes, sad sports fans, just three years ago we were a happy bunch.
Philly mag’s Rich Rys reminds us of that today, encouraging us to consider this anniversary a cleansing a sorts as our sports teams either flounder through the remaining season or gear up for the next. Or, in the Sixers case, remain in limbo.
