Three Philadelphia schools part of national attendance challenge

Schools all over the country are taking part in the Get Schooled Attendance Challenge, and in the Eastern Region, Philadelphia’s got three front-runners.

Academy at Palumbo in South Philadelphia, Bartram High School in Southwest Philadelphia and Lincoln High School in the Northeast are in first, second and 10th place, respectively, for the region, the Notebook reports.

Through Nov. 18, students can earn points for their schools by showing up to class and attending events their schools are holding as part of the challenge. Winning schools will get scholarships, field trips and celebrity visits. Academy at Palumbo has already won a field trip for their high participation rates last week.
