Theme announced for 2012 Philadelphia International Flower Show

Seven months ago, it was Springtime in Paris…in Philadelphia. The 2011 Philadelphia International Flower Show brought hundreds of thousands of people to Philadelphia to experience Paris at the Convention Center.

This year, Hawaii comes to Center City. The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society has announced the date and theme of the 2012 show: “Islands of Aloha.”

“From towering waterfalls and wave of orchids, to glowing volcanoes and serene sunsets, the 2012 Flower Show is an immersion in the dramatic landscapes and tranquil spirit of Hawaii,” reads the show’s 2012 website.

Uwisunu reports the six big islands of Hawaii will be represented, and visitors can expect a Hawaiian village and marketplace. Mark your calendars: the show will be here March 4 to 11.
