The Philadelphia Parking Authority and other places you might want to go the day before Thanksgiving

    What’s wrong with this picture?

That’s the Philadelphia Parking Authority’s Bureau of Administrative Adjudication and there’s no line. The building at Ninth and Filbert usually has several people waiting outside for hearings about their tickets.

Not today. The lights say come in but the date on the calendar says you’ve got better things to do than fight a ticket.

But anyone looking for a quick visit with the PPA might have considered taking advantage of this hassle-free situation.

That’s got us wondering. What other unpleasant tasks are best left to the day before a holiday — when everyone else is running last-minute errands? Driver’s license renewal? Trip to the dentist? Oil change? Feed the Feed.
