Temperatures rebound to above average after Arctic chill for tomorrow, Tuesday

The first stinging cold shot of the new year arrives tomorrow but won’t last long, forecasters say.
After a mild day today courtesy of a west to southwest flow, winds will shift out of the northwest tonight, dropping temperatures quickly at the 20s for the Shore.
High temperatures tomorrow will only reach the lower 30s near and at the coast, and a gusty wind will make it feel colder. Flurries are possible.
The bitterly cold air will remain tomorrow night, with wind chills in the single digits at the Shore.
Tuesday will likely be slightly colder, but by Wednesday, a warmer southwesterly flow begins, raising temperatures just above normal in the lower to middle 40s. Temperatures will moderate to around 50 by Saturday.
Skies will be mostly sunny through Thursday, with a chance of rain Friday night into Saturday. Forecasters are monitoring a potential storm system for Sunday into Monday.
