Teens plead guilty in West Philadelphia High computer thefts

Two teenagers pleaded guilty today to stealing computers from West Philadelphia High School. Sentencing is scheduled for later this month for the 17-year-olds.

West Philly High student Jonathan Carter and University City High student Dadisi Williams were arrested late last month after 60 computer were stolen from the school.

Police were tipped off when the teenagers sold one of the computers to a Craigslist buyer for just $400, Action News reports. The buyer alerted police, who then performed a sting operation and recovered nearly 30 computers from the teenagers’ possession.
