Teen ticketed for crash that sent car off Corsons Inlet Bridge

The Crudele siblings survived a car accident and a 15-foot plunge off a bridge. But they can’t escape the law.

Nicole Crudele, 18, has been ticketed for the Feb. 2 crash on Corsons Inlet Bridge in Cape May County that sent the car carrying her and her brother into the water.

Crudele told officers she was going 35mph at the time of the crash, when she lost control on the slippery metal grates of the bridge. As the Press of Atlantic City reports, officers say that speed was just too fast given the weather conditions.

The bridge’s speed limit is 25mph, but 45mph just before.

Crudele also received two points on her license for the offense. Authorities have already determined the bridge’s rails are not built to withstand the impact of a vehicle. Apparently Crudele used up all her luck surviving the accident.
