Teen girl reports attempted abduction in E. Germantown
The Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit issued an informational bulletin this week in regards to an attempted abduction of a 15-year-old girl waiting for the bus near Chew and Chelten avenues.
The female victim reported that she was approached by an unknown male who tried to strike up a conversation which she spurned in the 600 block of E. Woodlawn Ave. around 7:50 a.m. Tuesday.
“She ignored him and started to walk away, at which time he followed her and grabbed her by the arm,” the SUV bulletin stated.
The victim was able to elude the man, who is described as a black male in his thirties with a medium build, dark complexion and was wearing a red jersey and tan shorts at the time.
