Tastykake company to buy Hostess’ bread business

With no word on the future of Twinkies, snackers must wait with baited breath as buyers could be announced in the coming weeks. But for the Wonder bread loafers lovers of America, there will be a tomorrow.

According to CBS3, Flower Foods, the Georgia-based company that bought Tastykake two years ago, is slated to buy the halted Hostess bread business, specifically the Wonder and Nature’s Pride brands.

The deal is worth $390 million and includes the sale of 20 bakeries and 38 depots. There is no report as to how the yet unfinalized deal will affect the Northeast Philadelphia operations.
